Glycol refrigeration technology
Air-cooled glycol water chiller plants and air coolers.
Glycol refrigeration technology is nowadays very popular in indirect refrigeration systems, as it avoids possible refrigerant leaks in the installation.
This technology consist of using water with glycol as a secondary fluid in the installation. For this reason, the glycol acts as an antifreeze accompanied by a main circuit charged with another refrigerant. Therefore, this technology based on the use of glycol is born as an ecological alternative with the aim of reducing the environmental impact caused by the 100% use of systems with other refrigerant gases.
Currently, glycol refrigeration is mainly combined with the refrigerant gas R290, as together they have a very effective performance in chiller plants.
