INTARCON price list update 2021
Dear customer and partner,
Over the past year, the COVID-19 pandemic has wreaked unprecedented havoc on the global economy. And in recent months, as an after-effect in the midst of the crisis, we are facing an unpredictable upturn in inflation.
In Spain, the CPI rose by 2.7% in May, in line with other European countries, which are hovering around 2%. Current forecasts suggest that inflation could exceed 3% in Europe in the coming months, eroding the purchasing power of companies.
Industrial price indices show even more aggressive growth – in Spain the IPR is over 12% – exacerbated by the global shortage of raw materials. As a result, our suppliers of steel, copper and refrigeration components have already implemented significant price increases and deadlines for the coming months.
In these conditions we are obliged to revise our price list by applying a 4.5% price increase, which we hope will allow us to partially compensate for the material cost overruns on our products. This update will be applied to the current public price list for all orders as of 1 July.
Despite the current situation, at INTARCON we strive to be able to continue serving you as we have been doing up to now, trying to maintain our delivery times, thanks to a large stock of components and continuous product engineering work to compensate for breaks in the supply chain.
