SUSTAINABLE COOLING IN CO₂: FRANCISCO BEREDAS’ INNOVATIVE PROJECT AT ATECYR

CO₂ and R455A cooling is revolutionizing the industry, and at INTARCON, we are committed to offering innovative solutions to improve energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact.

To that end, we are proud to highlight the work of Francisco Beredas, Rafael Millán Alcalá, and José María Raigón, who have successfully completed the Atecyr Expert in Refrigeration course, specializing in the latest refrigeration technologies.

Sustainable CO₂ Refrigeration: A Pioneering Project

To demonstrate, Francisco Beredas designed and implemented a refrigeration system for a supermarket. In particular, he used CO₂ as a refrigerant in a booster cycle system. This system is eco-friendly and highly efficient, as CO₂ is a natural refrigerant with a low impact on global warming. Moreover, the system was optimized with a parallel compressor and a reheater. This improves the cold distribution and reduces energy consumption, making the solution more efficient and sustainable.

Sustainable refrigeration with CO₂ is positioning itself as one of the most effective solutions to reduce the carbon footprint. Not only is this system environmentally friendly, but it also improves the energy efficiency of the installations.

Sustainable and Efficient Cooling with R455A for Butcheries

Rafael Millán designed and implemented a refrigeration system for a retail butcher shop. Specifically, he used the refrigerant R455A, an A2L that complies with current regulations and has a low risk of flammability.

The system includes, among others components,  a refrigerated chamber and a display case. Additionally, it incorporates safety measures, such as extraction fans and leak detectors.

To ensure efficient management, the XC660D programmable control was chosen for the condenser and the XLR170 for the evaporators. Cose, this setup optimizes both safety and energy efficiency.

Sustainable Refrigeration for Meat Shops with R513A

The third project, developed by José Mª Raigón, focuses on the refrigeration system for small-scale butcher shops. A refrigeration system was designed, consisting of a conservation chamber and display cases for meat were designed. R513A was used, a low environmental impact refrigerant with great energy efficiency.

The project meets the highest standards of sustainability and energy efficiency. Thus, the system is both functional and environmentally friendly.

Commitment to Lifelong Learning and Innovation

Sustainable CO₂ and R455A cooling is essential for reducing the carbon footprint in the industry. This type of refrigeration not only improves energy efficiency, but also provides eco-friendly solutions that comply with environmental regulations. At INTARCON, we constantly work to implement sustainable refrigeration with CO₂ and R455A in different sectors, ensuring a greener future for the industry.

We applaud the effort and talent of all the participants in the course. We reaffirm our commitment to continuous training, a key pillar for keeping us at the forefront of sustainable refrigeration solutions.
